  HOW TO JOIN
  Please complete the membership form
(pdf or Word) and note the following:

  1. There are only individual, not institutional, memberships.  Please duplicate the form for other personnel in your office or at your institution who wish to become members of NEAAHP.
  2. Only institutional or personal checks can be processed.  Purchase Orders or Credit Cards cannot be processed. We realize that many schools will only process Purchase Orders and not check requests and may prefer to use an intuitional credit card.  In that case you may have to send a personal check and request reimbursement from your institution.
  3. If you are requesting an institutional check, emphasize to your Business Office that the membership form needs to be returned with the check.
  4. We have received checks with no forms and therefore no idea for which health professions advisor the check had been sent!
  5. Attaching a business card to the form is acceptable, but in the case of hyphenated last names, complete first, middle and last names eliminate confusion.  If you are not now in a LAN (Local Area Network) or are a new member, write NEW in the space beside a LAN and your name and information will be sent to the appropriate LAN coordinator.
  6. You will receive an email dues receipt to print for your records and use for reimbursement purposes if necessary.

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

  • A benefit of membership is participation on the HLTHPROF listserv. College and university based advisors, as well as health professions schools admissions and student affairs staff members may subscribe to the listserv.   Through listserv you can exchange ideas and information with other members of NEAAHP by using a convenient email distribution list.

  • You will learn current information, enhance advising skills, and network with advisors and admissions representatives by attending the biennial national and regional conferences.

  • Your membership also includes a free copy of the current Premedical Advisors Reference Manual (PARM). This publication provides a valuable and comprehensive resource for advisors on the policies and admissions procedures of US and Canadian allopathic medical schools and osteopathic medical schools.
